Rio de Janeiro Arrival
When you land in Rio de Janeiro you are greeted and then taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is available for some rest before other travelling and to discover the city.
Rio De Janeiro
Start the day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel, then begin a half-day Sugar Loaf and Panoramic City Tour in Spanish and English. Hotel pickups run from 8:00 to 9:00 AM. Explore downtown Rio, visiting the Metropolitan Cathedral, a pyramid-like structure 96 meters in diameter and 80 meters high.
In the morning, visit Flamengo Park and continue to Urca, home to Sugar Loaf Mountain. Ride a two-stage cable car, stopping at Urca Hill for views of Guanabara Bay, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, and Corcovado Mountain. The second stage reaches the summit at 395 meters, offering stunning views of Copacabana Beach, Santa Cruz Fort, and Niterói Beaches. The tour ends with a return to the hotel.
Optional Evening Activity:
Experience Rio’s nightlife with the Rio by Night: Samba Show Ginga Tropical on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Enjoy Capoeira, native dances, and the rhythms of Lapa. The show ends with a vibrant Carnival performance. Stay overnight in Rio de Janeiro.
Rio De Janeiro
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a free day to explore Rio de Janeiro. Discover the city’s vibrant colors and breathtaking views. Relax at famous beaches like Copacabana and Ipanema, sunbathe, or stroll along the shore.
Optional Tours:
- H/D Barra de Tijuca & Panoramic Olympic Park: Explore Rio’s geography on a private tour. Drive through coastal streets, passing São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca Beach, the city’s longest at 18 km. End with a panoramic view of the Olympic Park, the main venue of Rio 2016.
- H/D Corcovado: Take a half-day tour to Corcovado Mountain, home to Christ the Redeemer. Ride a cog train from Cosme Velho Station through Tijuca Forest to the peak. Enjoy panoramic views of Rio and its beaches from this world-famous landmark.
Rio De Janeiro / Foz do Iguassu
Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, walk to the pickup point and transfer to the airport with a Spanish/English-speaking guide.
Upon arrival in Iguassu, meet our tour guide and head to the hotel. Join a group tour (SIB basis) with a bilingual guide to explore the National Park of the Brazilian Falls (entrance fee included). Start at the park’s Main Center, where exhibits showcase the local environment. Walk the main trail for breathtaking waterfall views and scenic overlooks of both sides. Take a panoramic elevator ride, then return to the main area.
Optional Tour in Iguassu:
- Bird Park (Minimum 2 passengers) – Located at the park’s entrance, this ecological reserve focuses on ecotourism. See 900 birds from 150 species across Brazil, Australia, Africa, and Asia. Visit butterfly chambers, reptile exhibits, and a special conservation area featuring snakes and alligators.
Foz do Iguassu / Iguazu / Iguassu (Argentina)
Start the day with a buffet breakfast at your hotel.
The Argentinean Side of the Falls Tour lasts about 5 hours and includes SIB transport with a Spanish/English-speaking guide. Travel to the Argentine side, stopping for immigration clearance. Cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge, which spans the Iguassu River, marking the Brazil-Argentina border. Enjoy a scenic one-hour drive to Argentine Iguassu Park (entrance fee required). Visit Devil’s Throat, the park’s largest waterfall, and San Martin Falls. On the way back, stop at Three Borders, where Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay meet. Hike the upper circuit trail for a possible view of Devil’s Throat.
Optional Tour (Extra Cost):
- Big Adventure Tour (Argentinean side) – Minimum 2 passengers. Explore both rainforest and waterfalls. Take a guided truck tour through lush vegetation, then head to the pier for a boat cruise on the Iguazu inferior river. See San Martín Falls, Three Musketeers Falls, and Devil’s Throat, experiencing the falls up close by boat.
