Srinagar Arrival
The tour begins as soon as you arrive in Srinagar, the official summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Known for its beautiful lake and Shikara houseboats, Srinagar showcases both natural beauty and Kashmiri art. After our representative picks you up from the airport, we will transfer you to your houseboat located in Dal Lake. Nagin Lake, one of the series of water bodies, offers a peaceful and scenic view surrounded by mountains. In the evening, take a leisurely walk around the Mughal Gardens, followed by a Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Spend the night in the houseboat in Srinagar.
Srinagar to Pahalgam by car – 90 kilometres /3.5 hour
Post breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, also called ‘The Valley of Shepherds.’ Upon arrival, check into your hotel and begin enjoying the beauty of the River Lidder. Tourism is a key activity in Pahalgam, and it serves as the base for the Amarnath yatra. Stay overnight at the hotel in Pahalgam.
Pahalgam Local Sight Seeing
Start the day with a good breakfast, then head out for sightseeing in the lovely town of Pahalgam and Lidder Valley. Visit Aru Valley, located 15 km upstream of Lidder River, where you can explore camping sites and enjoy beautiful scenery. Continue to Chandanwari, the starting point of the Amarnath yatra, also known for sledging on snow. Don’t miss the picturesque picnic site of Hajan and the equally beautiful Betaab Valley. After a full day of exploration, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Pahalgam to Gulmarg: 130 kilometers / approximately 4 hours
After breakfast, go on a sightseeing tour to Gulmarg, known as the ‘Meadow of Flowers.’ Situated at an altitude of 2730 meters above sea level, Gulmarg offers beautiful views of lush green pastures and snow-capped mountains. Spend the day enjoying the area’s natural beauty. The hotel in Gulmarg will arrange lunch, dinner, and your overnight stay.
Sightseeing tour to Sonamarg (One side – 55 kms / approx 2. 5 hrs)
After breakfast, engage in a full day sightseeing trip around Sonamarg, which actually translates to the ‘Meadow of Gold’. ’ Located on the Srinagar – Leh road, Sonamarg has a number of fast moving rivers and beautiful trees of fir and silver oak. Trekking, sledging, angling, alpine skiing and white water rafting are some of the fun activities that a visitor to Thajiwas Glacier can undertake. In the evening, drive back to Srinagar for freshening up and dinner and spend the night in a hotel.
Srinagar – Home Town.
The last day of the tour is breakfast, after that you will be picked up for the transfer to the Srinagar airport for the home bound flight. So, the fabulous tour of Kashmir ends here and all you are left with are the sweet memories to relish.
