Novi Sad is the second biggest city in Serbia and its capital is Sremski Karlovci.
Following breakfast we shall embark on a trip to Novi Sad – the second largest city in Serbia. On the way, a brief halt will be made at the 18th-century cultural town of Sremski Karlovci. Here you will be strolling through the old city’s cobble stone alleys, and seeing the First Serbian High School and the Old Patriarch’s Court. We will also visit a wine cellar to also taste the famous Bermet wine. In Novi Sad go to Petrovaradin Fortress and take a stroll in the Zmaj Jovina pedestrians area. Start the day with a lovely Serbian three course lunch then the rest of the afternoon and evening is at leisure to discover Novi Sad. Overnight in Belgrade.
Belgrade, Timisoara, Sibiu
The next day after breakfast and check out we will drive to Timisoara, third largest city in Romania which has very beautiful architecture. The guided tour will also include The Orthodox Cathedral, Victory Square, Liberty Square and Union Square. The next day in the morning you will drive even deeper eastwards to Sibiu where you will be stunned by the preserved Gothic architecture, and the ‘eyes’ on the roofs of the houses. Arrive at the hotel and go for sightseeing; Large Square, Small Square, Council Tower, Bridge of Lies and Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Sibiu, Sighisoara , Brasov
journey start to the Transylvanian Triangle, first stop Sighisoara – this beautiful town was enlisted in UNESCO list because of its well-preserved medieval core and because it is a birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. Visit the Church of the Dominican Monastery, Clock Tower and much more. After that, we will move to the next city called Brasov which is quite good city with some old buildings and sort of walls. On foot, we will visit; The world’s smallest street, The Black Church, Catherine’s Gate, Beth Israel Synagogue. Brasov, Bran Castle, Sinaia Monastery, Peles Castle, Bucharest.
The whole day will be consumed in the car in Transylvania; first stop will be to Bran Castle or the Dracula Castle. The story of Vlad the Impaler should be familiar to anyone who wants to visit its towers and corridors. After that, head to Peles Castle–the Neo- Renaissance castle was built by King Carol I. You can see the palace and the park around, as well as interior decoration. We shall then proceed and go straight to Bucharest which is the capital city of Romania for check in and rest. Last but not least, we will arrive at Veliko Tarnovo, the city that has great fortress and represents medieval architecture. Check into the hotel and spend the evening in this lovely town. Etar architectural and ethnographic complex, Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv, Sofia
After breakfast and check out we will visit the Open Air Ethnographic Museum Etar where we will be able to see the Bulgarian National Revival architecture and craft. After that, we will go to Plovdiv – one of the oldest cities in Europe to visit the theatre, stadium and Kapana area. Next, we will move to Sofia for rest and stay in the evening. Overnight in Sofia.
Sofia City Tour and Rila Monastery’s Optional Tour
After breakfast in the morning, we will discover Sofia; Serdica-Roman fortress walls, Rotunda St. George, Basilica of St. Sofia, Cathedral of Alexander Nevsky etc. In the afternoon sightseeing can be arranged in Sofia or a trip can be organized to the Rila Monastery which is a World Heritage site. Transferring from Bulgaria to Serbia the first stop will be Niš – the birthplace of Emperor Constantine.
